Roku insists on internet connection to stream content from my phone
I have the Roku Express.
I have an offline router in my home that I use to connect my phone and Roku. I set up my phone so it is connected to the router but can still use cellular data to stream shows. I can airplay pictures from my phone but as soon as I try to stream a show, my Roku insists on an internet connection. Theoretically, it should be using my phone's data, correct?
I'm not sure how to solve this problem. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

I believe the only way to make your phone pass through its internet data connection is by connecting your device (Roku in this case) to the phone's hotspot.
