Roku express doesn't stay connected to the internet and i have to change password???
i've had my roku express for less than 6 months and it keeps disconnecting to the internet. i do everything they suggest on their website (since i can't get in touch with anyone via phone *eyeroll*)
my internet works great, i use it to work from home, play games on switch, use my phone, etc. only the roku has issues. this has happened THREE times in the last 2 months, completely at random, and the only way to reconnect my roku is to change my wifi password. I try every other troubleshooting method, im positive im putting in the correct password, nothing. when I change my wifi password, it works like a charm. i don't know why this happens, it's extremely annoying because then i have to reconnect all my other devices. im about ready to switch to a fire stick cuz of how ridiculous this is.
Thanks for letting us know about the issue you're experiencing.
Please be advised that Roku Express is only compatible with wireless b/g/n networks on the 2.4 GHz spectrum. Ensure that your router is broadcasting a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network for the device to connect to.
You can also try configuring your router and use wireless channels 1, 6, or 11 which are the preferred channels in North America. Each time you change the wireless channel, you will likely need to apply/save changes before you are prompted to restart the router.
