Roku connected but not working

I'm connected to my hotspot because it won't connect to my internet. It was working fine on my hotspot until a week ago, it says that the connection is excellent but it won't let me watch anything. Any time I try to open any channels it says "sorry we're unable to authenticate your device" or " no internet connection"

Re: Roku connected but not working

Look under your Network Connection info. See if it actually shows a valid connection. If it does, the IP address will most likely start with 192.168.x.x, with the X numbers not being material. There's some other possible valid numbers, but this is the most used for private networks. If the number starts with 169.x.x.x, then it's failed to get an IP address from your hotspot for some unknown reason. You might find the Network reset under the Settings/System menu and clear out all your stored network settings, then try to connect to the hotspot again.
