Roku channel won't load or play

Just purchased 55" Samsung smart tv TU700D. My Roku3 is connected and I can load and play Utube, Tubi, Crackle etc. PROBLEM: Roku channel won't load and run. I have reset the router, uninstalled and reinstalled the channel, unplug the Roku box and restarted and nothing. Why isn't it recognizing my internet connection when all the other free streaming does?

Re: Roku channel won't load or play

Hello @BradRopey

Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Do you receive any error code or message? Have you restarted your Roku 3 before re-installing the affected channel back in? That step is crucial when performing the troubleshooting. If you haven't done that yet, we would recommend giving it a shot once again.

Moreover, you can also try setting up your connection again by following the steps below:

  1. Press the Home button on your Roku remote.
  2. Scroll up or down and select Settings.
  3. Select Network.
  4. Select Set up connection.
  5. Select Wireless.
  6. Choose your wireless network from the list of available networks. If you do not see your network, select Scan again to see all networks. After you select your network, enter the password.

Let us know if there's any difference after.

All the best,
Kariza

FYI, the correct procedure to re-install an app on Roku:

1) Remove the app (Highlight the app, press the Options (*) button on the remote, then Remove)

2) RESTART the Roku (Settings/System/System restart/Restart) <-- MUST DO THIS HERE!!!

3) Re-install the app

(Otherwise, settings/cached data associated with the app are left behind and it wont be a clean re-install)

Yes, the restart recommendation worked. Thank you.

You're welcome - just remember to follow the same procedure if you get another dysfunctional app in the future.
