I have a new roku premier placed above a wired access point. The access point works fine but the roku does not see it but it sees my router which is in another room. Any ideas?
thanks
Thanks changed to channel 6 and premier see ap but now says can’t connect
The Premiere is single band, so it can't see a 5 GHz access point. For 2.4 GHz, it must be on channel 1-11. Most access points don't have a channel higher than that, but there are a few.

If you have a special character in the password, that might be an issue. Try just using letters and numbers for the password.
Also, some users have had problems connecting to WiFi if the access point has legacy protocols enabled. For some WAPs it's a checkbox that's labeled something similar. For others it might just be having 802.11b enabled. It's highly unlikely you have a device so old that it only supports 11b.
Lowered ap speed on 2.4 to 145 now works great
thanks
