Roku Worked Via Ethernet But Doesn't Work With WiFi

Disconnect this Roku Ultra from Ethernet but now I need to use it via WiFi but it won't boot up to show the initial steps asking for WiFi password etc. No "Lynk Code" appears either. . Have reset many times but the screen shows up as if it were still connected to Ethernet.

ROKU ULTRA 4640X s/n on the device is: 7LC73F116318  but s/n in my account reads like this: YPOOFD116318. My roku account shows this:

Have unlinked this Roku from my account thinking that's what was needed but it's not.

Please help.

Re: Roku Worked Via Ethernet But Doesn't Work With WiFi

Your post is seemingly contradictory - its not clear whether it is booting or not, and whether it is activated or not.

If you unlinked it from your account, you'll need to re-activate it.

If it boots to to the Home screen, go to Settings/Network/Set up connection to connect it to your wired/wireless network.

Re: Roku Worked Via Ethernet But Doesn't Work With WiFi

Well, I hesitate to confess the sad truth (for me)  and reveal the solution to my problem, regardless of the inevitable recriminations to my person.

Solution: The remote control's batteries were dead.Smiley Sad  All is now well with the world!

Thank you very much!

All's well that ends well - the best solutions are those that you come by yourself.
