I received a refurbished Roku 3800XB Streaming Stick as a gift a couple or so years ago. The box it came in is labeled with this number: CT3893368887. I've been using it with a hand-me-down Vizio GV42L HDTV and it's worked fine up until a week or two ago. When I turned on the TV and clicked on any one of my channels I would get an error message like "Not connected to the Internet."
I checked the Roku settings and found:
Status: Connected
Connection Type: Wireless
Signal Strength: Excellent
Wireless channel: 6
IP address: 10.0.0.8
Internet Download speed: Good (13 Mbps)
But when I use a tablet computer to check my wireless Internet download speed at the same location as the Roku stick it displays a speed of 36.2 Mbps.
The Roku stick is plugged into an HDMI extender that plugs into an HDMI port on the TV.
The Roku stick is powered by a Roku USB cord plugged into a "Switching Adapter" MODEL: ADS-6RA-06 05050EPCU-L which is plugged into an AC power strip.
I'd be grateful for some help figuring how to get my wireless Internet connection to the Roku stick working again.

If you've gone that long without losing your net connection you're doing very well. I seem to run into this problem a couple of times a month on my ancient router. Maybe your router is more stable than mine is.
This has always worked for me:
If that doesn't fix it, try disconnecting the power to your Roku for a few seconds. When it comes back up, see if you then can set up the network connection.
Hi makaiguy, thanks for that detailed troubleshooting checklist.
I tried every step on your list, in the order you listed them, but nothing worked.
The result from Settings> Network > Set up connection displayed two check boxes:
__ Wireless
__ Internet
The Wireless box had a green check mark.
But the Internet box had a red "X".
And under Network>About, Internet download speed is now showing as Poor (0 Mbps), even though the Wireless Signal strength still shows as "Excellent."
So, I'm still up the creek without a paddle

Thanks for the information.
It looks like your Roku device is not connecting to the internet, but is able to connect to your wireless network. Have you tried checking out the troubleshooting steps on our Support page here: What should I do if I cannot connect to my home network or the internet?
Please keep us posted what you find out.
Thanks,
