For my wireless network I have an Xfinity Gateway and a Linksys mesh network for added reliability. I was connected to the Gateway, and then later the mesh network and never experienced any problems.
Yesterday I got a new Gateway from Xfinity. All of my devices, including my mesh network, have no problems connecting to it. Used my Roku Express to watch a show on Hulu and it made it 30 seconds before I got a notice that the connection had been lost. When going into wireless settings I noticed that my Roku could no longer find my Gateway or mesh networks.
I did the SSID reset and recently the factory reset - nothing has worked. I’ve even tried it in different areas of my house with no success. Has anyone else experienced an issue like this?
I’m having the same problem, my roku won’t connect to my wireless network
I just read another thread saying Comcast has shut off the 2.4 GHz band on at least some of their gateways, leaving only the 5 GHz band operational. It's not clear to me whether this is deliberate or unintentional.
Roku Express/Express+ and Premiere/Premiere+ are lower end units with single band Wi-Fi radios that only support the 2.4 GHz band. They, and many other older devices of all sorts, can't even see the 5 GHz band, !et alone connect to it.
Having the same problem here to. It was working and then just stopped working. I wonder if Roku did some kind of update on these which is affecting all of us?
My Roku Express is no longer finding my 5G, only my 2.4.
I accidentally clicked forget device now I need my IP address and don't have it . What do I need to do??
Similar issue for me - I had to reset my wifi router. Reconnected everything else in my house just fine (phone, laptop, Roku Streaming Stick) but my Roku Express+ isn't connecting me (and mine has both the 2.4 and 5Ghz options). I keep getting "Unable to connect to Wireless network" message. I've restarted and unplugged/replugged everything multiple times and nothing has changed. I tried to find a customer support number but apparently we all have to help each other figure it out instead of them. Do they ever come on these boards and assist? Anyone have any success here and can give me some help?

The Express only operates on your 2.4gz b/g/n protocols. It will not operate on the 5gz. The other wireless devices you mentioned may be connecting to your 5gz. Can you confirm that your 2.4gz radio is broadcasting? (Is there and LED on your router, a button on your router, or are you able to access your router's settings)
The reset may have disabled your 2.4gz, changed your channel settings, or the like. Not sure if by reset you mean "factory reset" of router or simple reboot.
@AvsGunnar - Yes, sorry, I meant that my wifi router has both the 2.4 and 5 GHz options, not my Express+. And by reset, I meant factory reset. I had to reset my wifi router which meant I had to reconnect all my devices again and the Express+ was the only device giving me issues reconnecting. After rebooting the Roku and the router, I tried resetting my Roku Express+ again also. Still nothing. I've been trying for hours, but all that said, it finally did connect to the 2.4 as I'm typing this!
