I have been using my Roku Express nearly everyday for a while now. I have ran into a issue connecting to the internet previously, and was able to solve the problem with a router reboot and Roku restart but this time is different. 

My Roku Express randomly disconnected from the internet today and I haven't been able to get it to connect back. My wireless network is listed and has full bars when I view available connections, but when I type my password it fails to connect to the wireless connection. It tells me unable to connect to the wireless network, Error 014.40. 

I have already tried rebooting my router, restarting my Roku multiple times, unplugging my Roku device, turning the internet pings on/off, and still my Roku is unable to connect to the wireless network.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Ensure the wireless mode on your Wi-Fi is set to b/g/n and not g/n.

My ROKU device lost connectivity with my Vizio TV. The router is only steps away in my house and is connecting all my other devices. I have rebooted and restarted Roku countless times. The signal strength is listed as good. Please let me know what I can do.

If you are getting an error code or message, refer to this link for common Roku error codes and their recommended actions: How to connect your Roku device to the internet using Wi-Fi or Ethernet

Furthermore, if the affected device is either a Roku Express or Roku Premiere, please note that they are only compatible with wireless b/g/n networks on the 2.4 GHz spectrum. Ensure that your router is broadcasting a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network for the device to connect to. You can check your device model by navigating to Settings > System > About.

You can also try configuring your router and use wireless channels 1, 6, or 11 which are the preferred channels in North America. Each time you change the wireless channel, you will likely need to apply/save changes before you are prompted to restart the router.

I'm sorry but in the system info there is no information on whether I have a "wireless b/g/n networks on the 2.4 GHz spectrum."  I've used the same router for as long as I've had the Roku Premiere and the internet connection was just lost day before yesterday.  Every other device in the house runs just fine.  As to this advice, "configuring your router and use wireless channels 1, 6, or 11 which are the preferred channels in North America. Each time you change the wireless channel, you will likely need to apply/save changes before you are prompted to restart the router,"  even if I knew how to do that I would be unlikely to take down my internet and risk losing my other connections that work. I'd rather spend a few dollars and get another device from a different company.

Normally, it is a pretty easy fix (5min) and just sounds more complicated than it is.  Who is your ISP (internet service provider).

Good deal.  For future reference in case this occurs again, try restarting both your Router and the Roku.  I think you just experienced a simple loss of connection.

i am having the same issue on a roku model 3921x.  i have reset my modem and roku.  Just before leaving 10 days ago, it would pick up our wireless along with neighbors and now it doesn't show any.  Any help would be appreciated.
