Roku Express - Military base WiFi

My son just bought a Roku Express to use while he is stationed at Miramar. He says he has to add the Roku’s MAC address to his on base WiFi account in order to use it but does not know how to find it. He can’t even get to the device’s Home Screen. Help?

Does his phone have a wifi hotspot?  He could connect to that to access the internet and set up his Express.  Once at the Roku home screen, Roku menu path Settings / System / About will show him the MAC address among other things.

Once his base wifi is set up he can reconfigure his Roku to connect to the base system.
