Wi-Fi & connectivity

It had been working well for almost a year but for the last month the app on the phone cannot find the Roku device on the same WIFI network. However, the ROKU device will download movies from that wifi.

In an attempt to fix it I have tried:-

- loaded many ROKU apps including the official one 

- used differnt phones  with different apps

- powered don the unit and waited for 24h before repowering up the unit

- did a network rest 

AFTER ALL THESE STEPS STILL THE SAME RESULT - ROKU is working on the WIFI but cant be located on the WIFI.

Do you have any ideas?   Is the next step a new device?

Mary, can you offer any advice why I can not connect a phone with the a roku app to my stick?

Even when i am on the same wifi and  specify the network address, they reply i get is device not found.   However. the roku remote works fine ( i have Audio remote with the microphone button directly  below the direction navagation keys)
