RoKu Wi-Fi network channel conflict

My Roku Ultra automatically sets its Wi-Fi network channel to whatever channel I set the router to (switching the router switches the Roku). Due to this doubling up I get a large reduction in speed from my router, affecting just about everything "connected" to it (printers, laptops, etc.). How can I keep the Roku off my router's main Wi-Fi channel? Most of the network is at 2.4GHz, except for the Roku, which is at 5GHz, so the Roku isn't effected.

Re: RoKu Wi-Fi network channel conflict

Excuse the stupid question, but is your Ultra connected with an Ethernet cable?  Obviously if you're connecting via Wi-Fi it's going to be on the same channel as your router.
