Re: ROKU *says* I have "excellent" wireless connection/signal, yet cannot get any channels

Already set up as suggested and the problem continues ... but a friend who works in IT is coming over this weekend for a deep dive ... light a candle, keep a good thought (as Sipowicz would say).

Re: ROKU *says* I have "excellent" wireless connection/signal, yet cannot get any channels

Only other thing that could be causing your problem is your router's firewall settings. Some wi-fi extenders also have firewall settings as well. If your firewall settings are set too strong or extreme, your firewall could inadvertently be blocking all traffic requests sent from your Roku Express to the Internet which would explain why your not able to get any channels. I usually leave the firewall settings open on my router/gateway since I run not only three Roku devices on it, but also two smart phones, two VOIP lines, and several computers from it. I then set the firewall settings at each connected device instead.
