I just purchased the ROKU Ultra for my HD Television.
I would like to include a TABLO OTA DVR to the system.
Question:
I see ROKU offers the TABLO App and would like to know how it works.
My ROKU is connected to One HDMI port and the TABLO would connected to another HDMI port on my TV.
Will the ROKU (TABLO APP) recognize the TABLO DVR on the other Port and connect to it???
Cannot get ahold of anyone at Tablo or Roku tech support!
Not via HDMI, but your Tablo is on the home network, as well, right?
Here is a Tablo support page.
Yes, it is on my Home WIFI!
So, I guess the ROKU Tablo App will recognize it!
Thanks,
Jeff
By the way, also see their front page:
Where it says there are two kinds of Tablos - TV-connected and network-connected. Some features are likely to vary between those types.
I am about to order the TABLO QUAD OTA, which has an HDMI Connection and is also Wireless!
Anyway you look at it, its got to be better than this piece of JUNK TIVO I am currently running.
That's too bad about the TiVo. I bought one of their first-generation models in 1999 and it was great at the time, but I moved away from it because they just didn't get into HD quickly enough for my taste.
WOW 1999, that's more than 20 years ago and TIVO is still 20 years behind the curve!
Tablo looks to be a popular and top rated choice!
