Roku Express Serial # C33856451369
Router : Netgear Orbi RBR50 / RBS40V
Was working fine until a couple of days ago.
It finds the WIFI, then comes up with the question "Are you in a Hotel Room /Dorm" or "Are you at Home". I select "Home". No connection to internet.
All other (non-Roku) devices are able to connect to internet.
What I have tried :
Powering down each device (Roku and Router and cable modem) and powering them back up.
Factory Reset on the Roku.
Changing the channel on the router from "Auto" to 06.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.
Thanks for the post.
I would recommend checking out our Support page for troubleshooting issues here: What should I do if I cannot connect to my home network or the internet?
Please answer the following questions so we can get a better understanding of what you are seeing:
- Have you ensured your router is broadcasting a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network for the device to connect to? The Roku Express is only compatible with wireless b/g/n networks on the 2.4 GHz spectrum.
- Have you tried changing the wireless broadcast channel on the router to see if this will allow your device to connect?
- Have you tried moving the device closer to your router to see if you can get connected?
- How long have you been experiencing this problem?
If those things still aren't helping, feel free to provide us with the serial number of your Roku from Settings>System>About along with the answers to the above questions and I'll be able to assist you further from there.
Thanks,
Danny
Hi Danny, I'm having these same connection issues even after restarting the router and roku. No error messages are coming up, it just won't connect to the internet.
Hi Danny,
As I stated in my original post, I am able to connect to WIFI. Just not connecting to internet. I have also tried everything you mentioned.
I've had the problem only for a couple of days.
Model : 3900X - Roku Express

Hi I'm experiencing the exact same problem on my roku express and have tried all the fixes mentioned on this website. Did you find a solution?
I too cannot connect any of my ROKU devices and yes I have followed EVERY troubleshooting idea listed for the last two days. The response of “follow our advice on our website” is not helpful. What’s wrong with your products?
