How do I know it’s stopped streaming? Gogo data is very expensive at altitude. I’m assuming that if I select the “Home” button it leaves the channel I was at and therefore stops the data usage. (?)

Yes, if you press the Home button when you're finished streaming it will stop streaming and return to the Home Screen.  It will still use some data for advertisements and whatnot, but that can't compare to the amount data streaming video requires.  Note that if there's a power button on the remote that's solely for TV and will not stop streaming, so always press Home when you're finished.

So Gogo is more expensive than Jet A?  😜
