Is there anyway to get audio from the Roku to my wireless earbuds? If not why? I'm surely not the only one using wireless earbuds. Does Roku have a product to do this?
I use the Remote app for Roku on my smart phone to listen to the TV with wireless earbuds. The earbuds are set up on my phone through settings and when I open the Remote app for Roku, I select remote at the bottom and then on the next screen you select private listening. You need to first install the Remote app for Roku, be connected to WiFi and must also have a device that supports the private listening feature. I have the Streaming Stick +
I have no smartphone. The remote works fine with the earplugs are hooked up. I have the Ultra, and you'd think there would be away through the settings you could set the Ultra up with Bluetooth. I wish I could find something on the net to buy since Roku didn't set it up that way.
Thanks
Currently Roku doesn't have direct Bluetooth configurability. Here is an article that offers some different ways of using headphones with any TV. It explains the Roku mobile app (phone/tablet) mentioned above but also explains an option of adding a bluetooth audio receiver/transmitter directly to your TV via the 3.5mm jack or optical port. (may also need 3.5mm to RCA adaptor). Your headphones/earbuds would then connect via Bluetooth to this transmitter.

An internet search of "wireless or bluetooth receiver for tv" seems to bring up alot of suggestions.
Basically, you will have to add the desired Bluetooth or Wireless feature to your TV via a seperate transmitter if you do not have a mobile device to install the Roku mobile app. Other option of course is to buy a mobile tablet and use the Roku Mobile app from within that.
Perhaps @Tivoburkee and other members will stop by and can offer you more detailed suggestions/recommendations.
