Hi, I’d like to use my Roku TVs glamping and connect to a wifi network i host thst has a media server (but does not have internet) I have tried all the tutorials, my system is up to date, but there is no option to disable pings, all the options in the Secret Menu are
Factory Reset
USB Test
Cycle channel store server
Cycle software update server
Update software
Cancel
This is the same on both my SANYO and Sharp ROKU TVs
If somebody could help that would be greatly appreciated
What problem are you running into? If all you're doing is running a Plex server (or something similar) are you saying that the Plex (to pick one) app won't work unless you have Internet connectivity? I've watched Plex on my local Roku devices with Internet down. What are you experiencing that's keeping you from doing that?

I’m trying to connect to my wifi (which has an Emby server) but it won’t let me because it says there is no internet, so i want to know how to connect without internet
So you're saying your Roku device (a Roku TV) won't even connect to your network because your network isn't connected to the Internet? Or are you saying that Emby won't launch and run without Internet?

My Roku TV won’t connect to my network because there is no internet
Does the Roku TV connect to your home network (which has Internet connectivity)?
If so, if you disconnect your network from the Internet, then reboot the Roku TV, will it connect?
I'm trying to confirm the Roku TV network connectivity is working. I'm also trying to confirm that it behaves the same on a network it otherwise connects to.

Yes it can connect to wifi networks with internet, but if internet is disabled and you reboot it, it disconnects
I'm up against a dead end. I'm also wondering why I've been able to watch Plex local content with no Internet connectivity.
Xfinity was down for a couple of days after a storm once, but I was still able to watch Plex local content.
Now I'm wondering if the Roku TV acts different than the Roku I used during the outage (Stick+). I wonder why we're getting different behaviors. It's really odd.

If you think disabling pings will help you then...
Home(5x)...FF, Pause, Rewind, Pause, FF
Then navigate to System Operations Menu, Network Menu, Disable Network Pings
latest update on all my Roku TVs the system operation is not in the secret menu
