All of a sudden, my Roku stick and Roku Magnavox TV absolutely REFUSE to connect to wireless. It is not a Verizon issue as all other devices in the house work fine. Both have 10.5 software from Roku. I did a factory reset on the stick, no help and now I'm stuck in reset. I don't know what to do about the Roku TV (which is only a year old!). Do I ditch everything and go with something else or is there a remedy? Thanks in advance.
Hey @MCI498
Thanks for bringing this to our attention.
The troubleshooting steps available in this Support link may help. Try giving it a shot: How to connect your Roku device to the internet using Wi-Fi or Ethernet. You can also try configuring your router and use wireless channels 1, 6, or 11 which are the preferred channels in North America. Each time you change the wireless channel, you will likely need to apply/save changes before you are prompted to restart the router.
Let us know how it goes!
All the best,
Kariza
Thank you for the reply. We have tried all the steps, both usual and suggested, ad nauseam. We also tried several Youtube suggestions. As for reconfiguring the router, beyond my realm of capability I'm afraid. Guess I have a decision to make.
You will probably realize that configuring your router is much easier than you think.
Feel free to post your router model number, your ISP (internet provider) and can probably provide you some simple steps.
Otherwise, you can always call your ISP and have them make the changes on their end.
