From within Roku, try resetting Network Connection. (Settings..System..Advanced System..Network Connection Reset..Reset Network Connection)
Also, restart both your modem and your router.
When using the hotspot, try setting the hotspot to 2.4ghz band and see if it connects.
If still problems, try temporarily disabling the password from within the router. (look for Wireless Security from within the admin settings of the router)
Post back with any updates and the models of your Roku and router if you need more help.
