My Roku Express won’t find the 5G option for WiFi

After getting the Software Update error message from my RokuExpress, I found this support solution community and finally actually got that resolved.
Now went into my Network Settings and noticed that my internet connection to my WiFi was working but it was connected to the lower 2.4G and not to the higher 5G.
I tried to find the WiFi access point labeled 5G, but it wouldn’t show that the 5G was available to connect to.
I reset the Network Connectivity in the hope that it would then recognize that 5G WiFi access point, but still doesn’t list ANY 5G access points.

Re: My Roku Express won’t find the 5G option for WiFi

Forgot to include this tidbit. My other Actual Roku TV’s will find and operate on both 2.4G and 5G, but the Roku Express will not.

@JacobDHeck

On your Roku Express, go to Settings/System/About and look at the model number.

Only the newer Roku Express 3960 is dual-band (among the Express models).  Older Express models are only 2.4ghz capable.

If you have the 3930 as attached in your post, then this model is 2.4ghz-only.
