This happened about 5 days ago (and after a power outage):
All three of my Roku devices (Sanyo Roku TV, Roku Ultra 2022, Roku 3) will no longer load/play certain apps: Pluto TV, Roku TV, YouTube, Tubi TV, Etc. BUT, they will play Netflix, Prime, and Disney + (go figure, huh?).
I have reset, unplugged, etc., all 3 devices (multiple times), the modem, and router until my face turned blue. But still, only the listed apps won't play. In fact, now, my Roku Ultra will not return to the home screen and gets stuck on the screen to program the romote.
I've used Roku devices for 15 years now, so I'm familiar with how they operate, but this problem stinks. I've also seen multiple people have the same problem (some after a power outage), so I'm starting to think it's a Roku problem and not an internet connection problem.
Problem solved!! Hopefully, this will help others with the same issue.
First, I connected each Roku device through my mobile Hotspot. That got everything up and running and I was able to resync the internal clocks of each Roku device.
Second, I reconnected each Roku device back to their standard internet connection, and they worked perfectly.
After extensive research (outside of this Roku Community Forum) I found that, sometimes, a power outage will cause the Roku devices to not be able to sync to the internet's clock, and thus causing streaming issues.
Hopefully, this will work for you. It really sucked trying to figure this out; Roku Tech Support was anything but.
