How to fix Roku Premiere not connecting to Wi-Fi network

Roku Premiere stopped connecting to the Wifi

My Roku Premiere has completely disconnected itself from my wifi network as of this morning. 
I have scanned for networks repeatedly it will not notice my network even after me rebooting my router. 
I have even attempted a Factory Reset and it still refuses to notice my network while iPads and phones have no issues detecting the network.  
I can't even airplay as my phone can't even get the Roku to respond for that, either.

Roku Express/Express+ and Premiere/Premiere+ are lower end units with single band Wi-Fi radios that only support the 2.4 GHz band. They, and many other older devices of all sorts, can't even see the 5 GHz band, let alone connect to it. Make sure your router's 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi band is active and is not using  2.4 GHz channel above 11..

There have been reports lately of routers supplied by internet providers having the 2.4 GHz band shut down by an update from the provider. They have needed to have their provider turn 2.4 GHz back on it swap in a new router to fix.
