Hotel connection: the Roku sees the hotel network, but doesn’t give me place to enter the password.

At the Grand Canyon at a Xanterra run park lodge. Plugged in Roku express.  It sees the hotel wifi network, and connects for two seconds then drops.  No where to put in the password.  It doesn’t have the option to say I’m at a hotel.  Is there a way to get around this?  My phone is connected to the hotel network but can’t find the device, since it isn’t online.

Have you tried setting Roku to dorm/hotel mode (needs Roku Remote, not phone app).

This uses your phone as a bridge to get connectivity for Roku.  Get phone on hotel net.

Instructions widely available.

Re: Hotel connection: the Roku sees the hotel network, but doesn’t give me place to enter the passw

I tried to follow the instructions for connecting to hotel/dorm.  The instructions say to select wireless and choose the hotel wifi network.  That part works, the hotel network shows up with a strong signal.  I select Xanterra broadband, the hotel network, and it connects for a split second, then drops.  There is no offer to select “I am at a hotel”.  It just drops and says “no network”.   So I can’t get to the part where I tell it I’m on a hotel network, then sign in on my phone, which is already on the hotel network.
