Help

My roku 1 has been disconnected from the wifi, my remote won’t work. I have downloaded both the roku app and Remoku app. To enter it manually for recognition I need the IP number which is not available because I can’t check it on my tv because the remote doesn’t work

Re: Help

If your Roku isn't connected to your network it doesn't have an IP address.  You need a remote to get it connected.  Go out and get a cheap universal remote that supports Roku.

Re: Help

... and recognize that your Roku 1 is now 8 years old.  Although it is still receiving updates of the Roku operating software, many of the newer popular channels are being written to utilize advanced capabilities of newer models.  Some channels won't install or work at all on older models, and some may work but not support features available on later models (multiple user profiles, for instance).
