I have tried to find a number for Roku, impossible to find. I have connection problems, some days they work others they don't. I called my internet provider thinking it might be a problem with their equipment, but no problem on their end. I was told that Roku devices, has a problem communicating with the modems. My provider, Spectrum, can't even find a number for Roku. I have sent e-mails but have not gotten any response from them.
@LDM39 I would not say that all Roku players have connection issues. Of course, I've been called a fanboi about Roku, but whatever. I have 7 Roku devices in my home, only two that are hard wired. All the rest connect to WiFi, and none have ever lost a connection. I don't have any of the basic Express models, and those do seem to be the ones with the most complaints. You didn't say what model Roku you have, which is necessary to begin making any possible suggestions on fixes.
Roku does have a support phone number, but they do make it difficult to find. You have to go to the Contact Us page and go through a few support questions first. And there are some devices that they do not offer phone support for. And if you found a support email address with a web search, it likely isn't really Roku, as they don't publish a web address at all.
The address I use to contact Roku came the Roku web site. They list a mail address along with the e-mail address. I have 5 Rokus, all connected thru WI-FI. I have to keep restarting the system to get them to work.
Some people have lost connection problems, others do not. My personal belief is that it relates to interuptions and instability problems with the internet connection from the internet provider, and that Rokus, or at least some Rokus, don't recover from these problems as well as many other devices.
My internet provider frequently drops out for durations lasting from a few seconds to a few minutes. This can go unnoticed for lots of computer activities but it's immediately noticed when your stream is interrupted. When my Roku stream gets interrupted while being viewed, and doesn't come back up quickly, seems to be what triggers my Roku to lose its connection and I have to reestablish it when the internet comes back up.
