Getting Error 014.11 Unable to connect to wireless network, but internet connection is excellent

Hello,

I have a TCL Roku 5142X TV. It's an older model ... I think it's at least 8 years old, but it still works great.

I've been using T-Mobile 5G wireless home internet the past two years. Periodically, while watching streaming channels, I will suddenly get this message: Unable to connect to wireless network Error 014.11

Then is says to go to this link: go.roku.com/connectivity

I went to the link, and the troubleshooting articles I looked at don't address this issue or the Error 014.11 message. The wireless internet signal and connection are excellent.

Is there a way to fix this so I don't get the Error 014.11 message anymore? Or am I getting this message because my TV is outdated, and I need to buy a new TCL Roku TV?

I'll look into any suggestions provided.

Thank you!

@msand

Generally, the 14.11 error indicates a problem with the internet connection.

A little vague and deceptive though because if the device has a network issue, it will inevitably have an internet connection issue.

Try switching/connecting to a different band of your network.  If you are currently using the 5ghz band, try using the 2.4ghz band (or vice-versa).  Make sure to name your two bands differently in the TMobile gateway so you know which one you are connecting to.

If your RokuTV has an ethernet port, you could also try an ethernet connection.  If the distance makes it impractical to use an ethernet cable, you could try an extender/access point or a powerline adapter. (all these provide an avenue to get a device closer to the TV (while connected to your router) to make use of a shorter ethernet cable.)
