I am running a 3500X Roku Stick, with the latest software: 9.4.0 build 4200-09
The DLNA server I am using is Media Tomb.
This has worked great for a couple years but within the last couple weeks when I go to the Roku Media player it tells me "Connecting to a DLNA Media Server" but never connects. Usually I can do a reboot of my streaming stick and it connects but last night it didn't connect.
I can see and access my Media Server on a Windows 10 laptop but not on my Roku anymore.
My Roku is connected to the internet because I can still use other streaming sources.
Any ideas?
Just like you did with a restart of your stick usually solves the disconnecting. SETTINGS....SYSTEM....SYSTEM RESTART.....
Throw a router restart into the mix as well. The router reset will most likely establish all your connections again. If it works, chalk it up to normal network gremlins. If keeps happening then you will have to diagnose further.
These routers are always running, sending and receiving, sending and receiving.... dealing with interferences from other signals, phones, devices, household appliances.....sometimes they just need a reboot to refresh themselves.
May also be worthwhile to use a wifi analyzer to look at your wireless network. Although worked for many years, could be the network channels are getting congested. May have to switch channels or fiddle with the bandwidth settings. Analyzer should help diagnose this if you continue to have probs.
Hope this helps.

Yep... I restarted the wireless router that it was connecting to and it started to work again last night.
Thank you!!!
