My Roku is having issues connecting to the internet. I have restarted the router and the Roku and unplugged both multiple times. I have called the internet and they say my internet is good. I just turned on the hot spot on my laptop and it connected no problem. My laptop is on the same internet that Roku won't connect too. Any ideas why?
If you have a router from Comcast/Xfinity or Cox change the wireless mode from g/n to b/g/n. Xfinity has an app or you should be able to log into your router and make the change.

How do you change that?
If it is an express your ISP may have disabled 2.4ghz. Most modern phones/computers also do 5ghz which why they work but Roku does not.
Ask ISP how to reconfigure the router, or get a WiFi extender which supports older WiFi frequency/protocol to fix and prevent ISP breaking it again in future.
