Channel change

How do you go in and change channel to get the 5G connection, should I upgrade to the express plus+ from the old one I have? I just want to get the buffering to go away I have a great speed internet.

Re: Channel change

FYI, 5G (mobile data standard) and 5Ghz (WiFi channel range standard) are not the same thing.

Most Express models dont support 5Ghz - only the new Express 4K/4K+ models are dual band (support both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz).

The Express+ does not support 5Ghz (its not dual band), though the Express 4K/4K+ do (they are dual band).

You cant change the 5Ghz channel in client devices- it must be changed in the server/AP (modem/router/gateway) - and is only useful for client devices with 5Ghz support.

If your WiFi is configured for separate 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz SSIDs, you can select 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz by selecting their different SSIDs in client devices.
