This is already frustrating and I’m about to throw this piece of s***t away,,,
error 14.50. It does not connect to the internet and the **bleep**ing support cowardly only told me to contact my internet provider without further information or help!
this is my last attempt of using it before throwing it away!
if anyone has any clue of this error code, please. Even though there are ,any topics about nothing has worked
What kind of Roku device is this and what kind of router? I believe it is an authentication issue.
This is a fix from a user that has a CenturyLink router so better for him to explain than me.
Basically, Roku doesn't like special characters in the passwords so also might to check/change your SSID network password if you have different kind of router.
Post back with your results with some more detail with your problem and we can probably point you in the right direction.
Thanks for replying.
it’s a Tenda router. I’ve checked that topic and did not help as not all settings are the same. What do you mean with authentication issue and how to allow it?
it’s a ROKU Premier
Give me a few minutes to look into that router.
As I am looking, is this a new Premiere you are trying to setup, or is it a previously working one that has now stopped getting on internet.
Also, the Roku sees your network connection, but just doesn't connect to internet, correct? It is connecting to your network, though?

You did try rebooting your router (let it fully reload) and followed with a System Restart or reboot of your Roku Premiere already? These are going to be the basics.
Here is an old post. Look at the user Russman167 who actually talked with Tenda tech support. Basically, to resolve his 14.50, he had to restart his router, and do a factory reset of the roku device. (note how he had to make sure times were correct at both the router and device during setup.)
See if this helps and post back with any steps you have done. Again, these are the basics so have to address them before fiddling with router settings.

Unfortunately it did not help.
reseted everything already and nothing. This **bleep** is a joke. What a piece of **bleep**. Like you buy a car and have to figure out how to wire everything set up the seats, wheels and all. What a **bleep**in joke!!!
If some one wants a Roku device send me your address I am giving one up!!!
Can definitely be frustrating, supposed to be plug and play. Unfortunately, it doesn't always just "fit in" to some people's network setup as it is configured. For some, they have to buy a new router. It depends how much time and money you want to spend. You can get a decent TP-Link for $20-50.
Even people on here with very expensive routers can run into problems because not preconfigured for Roku. Sometimes it is an ISP problem and the internet company has to change a setting on their end. Other times, you may have to check and do a firmware upgrade on your existing router. It is a matter of getting everything configured properly though. Some just gave up and bought a Firestick and it just worked for them (or so they say). Maybe.
If you change your mind on the Roku, post back and the users here will surely have some more suggestions for you.
Same bleeping problem here, sometimes it works, no problem, but when it doesn't work it stubbornly doesn't work. I have reset the connection, reset to factory, everything else in my house is connected and the POS tv can find my network, it just refuses to connect. The worst TV I have ever owned! My firestick connects, my next try is to try to set up a firestick to the TCL ROKU TV. I want to take a sledgehammer to it!!!
I was able to connect via a firestick. TCL/ROKU is garbage!
Thanks for the post.
Have you tried changing the wireless broadcast channel on the router to see if this will allow your device to connect?
Please keep us posted what you find out.
Thanks,
Danny
