Just lately it seems that all my roku devices and family members in other households are not connecting to internet. I have done multiple modem restarts in attempt to fix these issues but have realized that it is an issue on Rokus side. I know this because my smart TVs which is lg connects without any issue. What can be done about this issue as I also have restarted roku using setting options within roku. Nothing seems to be resolving these issues. Sometimes the rokus will connect but then they kick you out and say not connected.
I am having same issue.
Do you have Xfinity as your internet provider, by any chance? If so, your problem may have been caused by a recent update to many Xfinity-supplied routers:
Xfinity users report the router configuration needs to be switched from g/n security back to b/g/n security. If you don't have access to your router settings, you may have to request Xfinity to do this for you.
I saw this 'Note: Roku Express and Roku Premiere/Premiere+ (3920/3921) models support only 802.11 wireless b/g/n networks (the 2.4GHz band).
This is working for me
I checked my XFi app for my router settings and it was not set to b/g/n , it was set to g/n. When I changed it, I was able to connect to wifi, no problem.
Below is where I found the settings in the Xfi app.
Go to the Connect tab. Select See Network. Select Advanced Settings. Select 2.4 and 5 GHz WiFi.
I am having the same issues
my fire stick works but both Rokus will not connect
I’m not buying another Roku
