After factory reset direct Roku not found on any device

Hello,

i know most of these forums has said that after factory reset the direct-Roku shows up. however after factory resetting twice it was still not showing up on either of my devices. honestly was a waste of money and efforts if it was just never going to work long term. the set up for dorm wifi connection needs updated. any thoughts on what to do??

Update: have reset it 4 times and is still not working

You can't use dorm connect until your Roku is activated/linked to a Roku account.  If you factory reset it you'll have to use some other Wi-Fi network (like your phone's hotspot) to get through the initial setup.
