Update: Thank you everyone for your comments and suggestions. Tried them all and still wouldn't work. So returned the Roku and ended up with a Firestick. MUCH happier all around.
Bought a new Roku Premier to replace one that quit working. Hooked it up, checked all connections, verified strength of wireless single. Hook the **bleep** thing up and it will not connect to the wifi. Error code says it's a password issue but it is NOT. Pretty disgusted at this point and strongly dislike buying from a company that offers zero support for their devices. Had no issues with the first one for 2 years, then it just quit. Have reset everything twice and still won't recognize the wifi password. Anyone else have this issue? Roku doesn't want to help apparently.
Xfinity, eh?
ROKU LOCATES NETWORK BUT CANNOT CONNECT
Some router updates have changed the router's connection settings from b/g/n to just g/n, causing some Roku models to lose their ability to connect to the network. This has been reported with routers from Xfinity and Cox, but there might be others. The solution is to set the router's configuration back to using b/g/n.
If you don't have access to your router is controls, you may need to have your internet supplier do this for you.
Make sure you're connecting to the correct WI fi
I know I am connecting to the correct one, AND I have verified the password 3 times and I am entering it correctly. Error code is now a 014.30. Sure would be nice if Roku actually provided support
Post back with your router model and ISP (internet provider). Will see if we can provide some help to get you connected and back up and running.
It is the Roku Premier and we have Xfinity (Comcast). Had no issues with connecting the previous Roku Premier when it worked. Only got the new one because the old one quit working. Did multiple router resets, Roku resets, even called Xfinity to test Wifi strength. Roku was set less than 2 feet from modem.
