We have four CS1000X indoor cameras set to record events, but not to send notifications. The "TV settings for Roku Smart Home" page, as well as the Smart Home App on our Roku streaming device, show that I've turned off live streaming and all notifications for all four cameras. However, we still get frequent and annoying notifications on our TV of Person, Pet, or Package events. All I can do is snooze the stupid things for an hour. How do I get NO notifications of camera events to my TV?
Hi, @NoJumpJackFlash.
Greetings from the Roku Community!
We appreciate you reaching out about the notifications from your cameras. We're here to help.
Have you tried turning off the notifications from your phone settings? Let's see if that would make any difference.
If the issue persists, please let us know.
Thanks,
The Roku Community
After trying everything I could possibly do, I just gave up and had to turn off ALL monitoring. Now I don't get notifications.
Turning off Notifications in the Android Smart Home App didn't work.
Turning off Notifications in the Smart Home TV app didn't work.
Turning off Notifications in the Web Smart Home page didn't work.
Setting a Rule in the Android App to only engage limited monitoring for one minute each day - right before midnight - didn't work.
Also, the Smart Home Web View of my cameras still says "Camera is not supported on this browser", though that's a different complaint and posting.
Also, now I can't use finger gestures to zoom in and out in the Android App. Tried un-installing and re-installing Smart Home, but still no luck.
The only working feature left is that the cameras do, at least, show what's there. That's pretty Dumbed-Down from what they're supposed to do, and I have an annual subscription, too.
Roku Support and this forum have been of no help, so I'm thinking that Roku engineering is just very, very shoddy.
Will post this as a rating on Amazon to warn others away from Roku.
