mirroring problem unresolved

using a Streaming Stick w/ a TCL Firestick TV (Roku set to HDMI 2). Can't mirror with my Win10 laptop. Roku mirror settings set to Prompt (have tried Always, too). PC does not show up as a mirror device. Under Win10 display settings, Roku was listed twice, once as Not Connected, once with no comment. Canceled both but can't seem to reconnect. Under devices, Roku was shown but not able to intereact with it. Media streaming options turned on. Selecting Connect to wireless display shows the Roku, but screen shows Starting from desktop but progress display goes about 1/3 and stops. Have hard recycled TV, Roku, and router/modem.
