loss of volume controll with my avr

I set up my roku utlra saturday and everything went perfect.  I had full control of volume and everything thru my denon avr. Now I have lost it I can't control volume. The power works fine it will shutdown the tv ,roku and the avr.  I'm totally lost on how to fix this

I found the reset button on the bottom and apparently it does a factory reset and you start over. Not the most elegant of ways to do things but it worked.  Now to figure out why it did this
