I was dog sitting for a friend and her dog decided to destroy the remote for my 3820x streaming stick.  I can't figure out the correct replacement remote. Everything seems to say it won't work with a streaming stick. 

I had an extra RC-FA1 REMOTE, and it paired, but it is for a different tv, so I still need a replacement.  Any idea what remote I need to buy? IR, Wi-fi, RF?

@mlprachar  did a quick search says it works with all steaming sticks:

(Remote specification) This Wifi remote works for all Roku player (box shape of Roku) and all Roku sticks.

That is the first WiFi remote I've seen from a third party manufacturer claiming to work with Roku devices.

At current Amazon pricing, at $19.99 Roku's WiFi Voice Remote costs $5 less than the 3rd party one from Amaz247 and adds these functions the Amaz247 lacks:

• Microphone for issuing Roku voice commands
• Control of volume, mute, and power function for most tvs via infrared

Roku's Voice Remote Pro, $28.95, adds these features to that of the regular Voice Remote:

• Rechargeable battery
• Earphone jack for remote listening
• Remote finder tone to locate misplaced remote
• (Optional) microphone always-on so microphone button need not be held down when issuing voice commands

@mlprachar- as for your current remote being for a different tv, this can be changed.

Roku menu path:
"Settings -> Remotes & devices > Remotes"
At this point if your remote has already been setup for a tv but you need to reset it, arrow down to select your Remote (in use).
Now select "Set up remote for TV control"

.. And follow the prompts
