Will the Roku Ultra LT get the same future updates as the Roku Ultra?

I read that the LT has been discontinued.

Let me know please.

Re: Will the Roku Ultra LT get the same future updates as the Roku Ultra?

Good ol' Roku has a nasty habit of reusing model names on different models, which is why it is always a good idea to mention model number along with model name.

There have been two Ultra LTs.  Both are models produced for Walmart to Walmart specifications, with minor differences from the non-LT main stream Ultra versions of the time.

Model 4662 - Released September 2019
Model 4801 - Released September 2021

The 4801 has a faster processor, twice the memory, 8 times the channel storage, stronger Wi-Fi, Dolby Vision support,  Bluetooth audio streaming, and built-in Ethernet support.

Now that Walmart has the 4801, I expect they are receiving no more 4662s, although they may still have some remaining inventory for sale at some locations.

Both models are currently supported by Roku, and are current enough to likely receive updates for quite some time.
