We have a Roku Express standard edition which came with the remote.
We would like to buy the Roku Voice Remote we saw advertised.
I saw this on sale at Walmart but before I buy, will the voice remote work with our Roku Express?
Also, will the power, volume, and mute buttons on the Roku Voice remote work with our TV? The standard Roku Express remote does not have power/volume/mute.
The Roku Voice Remote will work with the Roku Express (that originally came with the simple IR remote).
Your TV brand is unspecified. If the TV is a major brand that can be controlled via IR or via CEC then the Roku Voice Remote probably can work with it.
The remote will not with with Audio/Video Receivers like a Denon amplifier because ... reasons. 😞
For Friday and Saturday of this week the Roku Express 4k+ is available for $30 which includes the Roku Voice Remote. Since the remote by itself is $20, you basically can get the Express 4k+ for just $10 more. You can then keep the Roku Express as a fall back or for another TV.
