I recently upgraded my parents TV/Cable/Streaming set up and the only complaint I am getting is they have 3 remotes. They would like to use one remote. I know a universal remote will work for the cable and tv but I want to be able to get down to one remote for all 3 devices. Can I connect a universal remote to a Roku Express+? All answers I am finding are for Roku TV's. The TV they got is a Sony Brevia. Since I couldn't find the answer I was looking for I thought I would ask you all. any and all help will be appreciated. Thank you.
Yes, Roku express + respond to IR commands. So if the universal remote has Roku listed it will control the express +. Remember the code won't be listed under tv's, usually it's under Cable or Stb's, er set top box. Check best buy for Insignia universal remotes. Like the following:
Insignia™ 3 Device Universal Remote Black NS-RMT3D21 - Best Buy
Insignia™ 8 Device Backlit Universal Remote Black NS-RMT8D21 - Best Buy
Check the open box selection on that page for bargains.
