We have two Roku 4K streaming sticks with a wireless connection to the same network. The first one installed works fine, but the second new one won't run any channels and shows this message:
Can't run channel
'channel name' could not be run because it could not be reinstalled from the network. Please check your network connection and try again.
I tried:
- Power-cycling the problem Roku device
- Restarting the Roku: Settings > System > Power > System Restart.
- Restarting the router
The Roku is connected to the network (AT&T), but I still get the same message and cannot get any channels.
Please advise. Thank you. Melissa

Hi I’m having the same issue and I tried everything you did as well as resetting the network connection.
I have a 9102R - Roku Streambar
Hey @@javic12,
Welcome aboard!
I appreciate you letting us know about your network issue. To get this sorted, please share this information:
In the meantime, you can check how to connect to a mobile hotspot and see if it works.
Please keep us updated on your findings.
Thanks,

This problem started around a month ago. We just changed providers today and even with the new WiFi I am having the same issue. The router is in the living room roughly 15 ft away from my streambar.
When I try to open Netflix it says “could not be run because it could not be reinstalled from the network. Please check your network connection and try again.” I go to setting to check my connection and it tells me I have a good connection.
When I try to open any other app the screen goes black and then returns to the Home Screen. Netflix and Spotify are the only apps that give me an error screen.
I have tried doing a network connection reset, system restart and a factory reset. I have also tried connecting to a hotspot and it still doesn’t work. I have tried unplugging the streambar for a few days and the issue continues.
I tried ALL of your recommended steps and NOTHING worked, except Live TV; none of my channels. I recently changed my internet to COX. Everything was working for a while then started getting “unable to reinstall from network” error message. I did a FACTORY RESET. Home>Settings>system>Advanced system settings>Factory reset>Factory reset everything. Make sure you have the ROKU Remote app installed on your phone because your regular TV remote may quit working. Followed the factory reset instructions, and had to pair my remote again (Settings>Remotes & devices>Remotes). NOW EVERYTHING IS WORKING!!!
@Charlesnida, just so you and anyone else that reads this thread knows, you cannot use the app on a phone as a remote once you factory reset a Roku device if the device doesn't have a wired Ethernet connection to get it connected to a network. You must have a physical remote if your only option is a Wi-Fi connection.
