TCL Roku TV has existing Roku acoount

Jump to solution

This TCL TV was left in a home we bought.  Works fine but has existing Roku account, I would like to log this account off and install my account.  I cannot find a way to do that.  I have a plug in Roku unit but it is somewhere in the abyss of boxes that are waiting for us.  Appreciate your guidance.

Factory reset of the TV should do it.

Hi @Lars1957,

Welcome, and thank you for posting!

We understand that you want to modify the Roku account logged in on your Roku device. We'd be glad to help.

The effective way to update the Roku account on your Roku device is to reset the device. To do so, follow the steps below:

  1. Press home on your Roku remote.
  2. Scroll and select Settings.
  3. Select System.
  4. Select Advanced System settings.
  5. Select Factory reset.
  6. If you have a Roku TV, select Factory reset everything. Otherwise, move to the next step.
  7. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Once you have done this, your Roku device will need to be reactivated. For full information, visit this support article: How to factory reset your Roku device.

We hope you find this information useful.
