I keep having to do a system reset on my tv when my app will not connect. Why is this? Is there a fix for this? I have already deleted my app and reinstalled and still have the same issue. I tried connecting manually and get the message the IP address is not found.

Didn’t work for me. Roku app still won’t connect with my Roku on the same network. Both devices are on the same network.

Could you please send us a screenshot of the Roku app? Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling it? For more information and detailed instructions, please refer to this support article: How to connect your phone to a Roku streaming device with the Roku mobile app.
Looking forward to your reply.

@Gcruz210I'd recommend you hunt for a connectivity app in the App Store similar or identical to WiFi Analyzer for Android. Once installed, open and view how many others use the same channel/band. If you have the login credentials for the router, disable the default 'auto' feature for channel selection and choose a channel/band with less congestion. I can't guarantee this will solve it, but these type of connectivity issues are often due to congestion.
Deleting the app and reinstalling solved the problem. Thank you.
So, this solution worked once. The next time I turned on the TV with the Roku remote I was back at square one. This time I tried deleting the app and reinstalling again. This time it didn’t work. Still won’t connect even when I manually input the Roku’s IP address, which I changed to static to ensure it didn’t change.

Did not make a difference 😕
