I just use a laptop which works fine, just as the TV did for months.
Just found a different password, instead of the admin p/w I use to connect my laptop (and previously the TV) - and it now works!
No idea what stopped it working, or why it needed a different password.
An admin password is for securing your router. A wireless password is for securing your devices on the network. They should never be the same passwords.
All I know is I've only used the admin p/w before. Just relieved I can catch up with replays now.
Glad you got it working. Not sure how you were able to connect before unless you used the same password with both the wireless and router login, as an admin password would only get you into your router settings. Maybe during the initial router setup process, you used the admin password to get things setup and then created your wireless password, thinking it was the same, but somewhere along the way you set up a wireless password.
I've only used the admin password on laptops and TVs.
I noticed a series of numbers, which I thought was the router's serial, but I gave it a try.
I've never used this before, and I don't know why the connection stopped working.
I hope everyone solves their mysteries!
Well again, I am glad you figured it out. As I tend to find when there is an issue with things like that in my home, the problem is usually between the keyboard and the seat. 🤣
