Simple remote operates base tv features but not the Roku stick

Roku stick plugged into my insignia tv. The Roku remote is acting like it’s the insignia remote so it pulls up the tv menu and the tv sound, but the Roku stick acts like the remote doesn’t exist so I can’t navigate anywhere on the Roku Home Screen just can control sound and insignia’s settings menu. I am using a simple Roku remote so don’t have a pairing button either.

Re: Simple remote operates base tv features but not the Roku stick

If you mean an actual Roku Stick model and an actual Simple Remote, then those will not work together.  The simple remote is an IR (only) remote, and the stick models are Wi-Fi only.  The sticks are expected to be behind TVs where IR won't reliably be seen so they have no IR receivers.

So, just to be sure, your remote has no Voice button?

Banned but back. Because why not?
