I am having the same issue. I recently brought a new roku express 24 and whilst I could easily screen mirror to my very old roku device I am unable to do so to the new roku. I am trying to mirror the screen from my Samsung phone and have tried resetting, restarting, checking the network, turning it on and off etc but have been unable to resolve the problem. Any help much appreciated
Go buy a firestick and mirror to it
Hi I am also having problems with connecting my devide samsung s23 to my roku tv. I have done all the troubleshooting but still does not work. My roku tv won't appear on smartview (screen mirroring for samsung). Please can you fix this issue. I have done everything.
Under advanced settings it says control by mobile apps and i have also enabled that. It does not work!
Please sort this issue
I had to buy a firestick and cast or mirror to a firestick. Roku won't fix the problem.
They refuse to fix it. They know all about the issue too. Sometimes it works and then other times it won't work for weeks. The ONLY solution i have found it to "reset network settings." Let the TV restart on its own and then smart view and your tvs will pop up. But after you're done screen sharing you have to go back to your wifi and re enter your password to connect back to your internet. It's extremely frustrating and I've had them respond to me on Twitter and I've reached out to then on every platform. They are MORE than aware of this issue they just refuse to admit or fix that their system or the daily updates is constantly bugged in this area. Good luck- just get a new TV if possible that's what we'll be doing. Going with samsung.
I fixed the problem by disabling wifi 6GHz. To do this, go to your modem wifi setting (192.168....), go to wifi, go to WLAN 6GHz, turn enable radio to off.
Hope this fixes everyone's problems.
Nobody has 6g. Only the government has 6g. There is no option on a 5g network to disable 6g.
6ghz is available via a 6e router. (e=extended).
Means that Wifi6(ax) is 'extended' to the 6ghz band.
A Wifi6(ax) router will allow the user to use the AX protocol on the 5ghz band. A Wifi6e(axe) router will allow the user to use the AX protocol on both the 5ghz and the 6ghz band.

For Roku purposes, some Roku-branded RokuTVs and the Roku Ultra 4850 are now wifi6(ax) capable. No Roku device is yet wifi6e capable so cannot use the 6ghz band.
this still isnt fixed? i got it to work a year ago and i wanna do it again but it wont let me, and no i wont be buying a firestick or new tv cause i am broke asf.
How did you fix it? Roku has ask me questions but offer no answers.
