Roku won’t connect to wifi

I have one Roku streaming device connected to a tv in my living room (which is literally right next to the internet modem) and a Roku tv in my bedroom. I woke up this morning and turned on the Roku tv in my bedroom, it said it wasn’t connected to the internet, so I proceeded to choose the network and connect. It worked. I moved into the living room about an hour or so later and same thing with my Roku device there. Only this time, it keeps coming back saying it can’t establish a connection to the internet, despite it showing that the internet is working with an “Excellent” signal. This is extremely frustrating as this is the ONLY device in my home that won’t connect to the wifi.

Re: Roku won’t connect to wifi

Hi @Gracellen28,

Thank you for posting here in the Roku community!

We understand you're having a problem connecting your Roku streaming device to your internet, but we need more information to assist you further.

  • What streaming device are you using?
  • Is there any error code you are currently seeing?
  • Have you tried connecting to your wireless hotspot to see if the issue persists?

If you cannot connect your streaming device to the internet, you may be able to connect to a hotspot using your mobile device. A hotspot might be helpful if you have a temporary network outage or your streaming device.
With more information, we can assist you further.
Thanks,

Anjelie
