Roku voice remote not pairing after factory reset.

Ive tried everything, held the two buttons for 5 seconds, reset it by holding for 20 seconds and now its unplugged while i find a solution, i had to reset the streaming box anyways because it was saying that the wifi hardware was missing, i cant get past the language screen and the remote refuses to connect even though it was working fine prior to the reset, any help would be appreciated.

Are you still getting the "Wi-Fi hardware missing" message?  The voice remote will never pair if the Wi-Fi hardware isn't working.
