Roku remote turns off both tvs

I have a Roku insignia and a fire tv that's insignia that are in the same room for my sports. the Roku remote turns both on and off and I was wondering if that's just because they're both insignias or if there's something i can do on the fire insignia to stop this?

the Roku model # is NS-39DR510NA17 and the fire tv is an F30 series

Re: Roku remote turns off both tvs

Warmest greetings here in the Roku Community, @sirstv!

We appreciate you reaching out for support and we'd be more than happy to further assist you with this.

Your Roku remote uses invisible infrared (IR) light to transmit button presses. With this being said, it can navigate other TVs that support IR as well. There are currently no codes to alter the IR from controlling your other TVs but we highly recommend using the Roku Mobile App as an alternative.

Hope this helps!

Best regards,
Carly

@sirstv

Fire tv's use Bluetooth but can accept IR for power, if you were to switch your Roku tv to Wifi voice remote and abandon the oem IR remote for good, it should clear up the conflict.
